Extreme Lower Back Pain

The human body is full of nerves, tissues, and muscles and if these are working in the right manner, you will enjoy a healthy life. There are around 214 famous nerves, four types of tissues (epithelial, connective, nervous, and muscle) in our body. And among epithelial, there are further two types which are Covering and lining epithelium and Glandular epithelium. To tell you all this detail is that our body consists of complex structures. Any imbalance in either of any part could lead to a pain, which could be extreme. Lower back pain is one of the most common problems that everyone in this world has experienced, so it is attached to everyone’s life and health. Its association with humans is as older as the history of human beings.
Causes:

Extreme Lower back pain arises due to an irritation or problem with:

Muscles and soft tissues
Highly sensitive nerves which are moving from the lower back to the legs
Spinal discs
Complex joints

Lower back pain is usually categorized into Acute and Chronic. Acute pain lasts for around 6 weeks and vanishes itself within this time frame. However, chronic pain refers to a long term pain usually refers to a pain that lasts more than 12 weeks. Sub-acute pain falls in between and lasts for 6 to 12 weeks.

Diagnose Extreme Lower Back Pain

If you are unable to get rid of lower back pain in a short period of time, then you must consult your doctor. The following tests are usually performed to diagnose lower back pain and to identify the reasons thereon:

Straight leg raise
Evaluating for scoliosis
Muscle weakness or wasting
Impaired reflexes
Facet joint blocks (to evaluate spinal pain)
Use of transforaminal epidural injections
Use of sacroiliac injections
X-ray, CT scan, or MRI

How to Manage

Although there is no specific method has been identified to fight against back pain so far, a regular exercise suggested by a doctor like stretching, strengthening and aerobic are considered to be very effective. Behavioral Therapy has also been found to be very effective in extreme pain which arises due to excessive stress in muscle and tissues.

Yoga for Extreme Lower Back Pain

Recently, there is strong evidence regarding the treatment of extreme lower back pain with the help of Yoga, and people who are not getting rid of back pain with other medicines and treatments, Yoga worked as a new weapon to the armor.

Surgery Not the Best Solution

In some cases like herniated lumbar disc and significant pain radiating into the leg, Surgery is often prescribed as the last resort to get rid of extreme lower back pain but there are no clear cut advantages that have been seen so far. So, going for it must be fully justified.

Who is more under attack?

Lower back pain usually attacks men and women at the age of 30 and above. Because at that age, our muscles and tissues are not as strong as they are in a younger age. As a result, our tissues and muscle get under attack so early. If we continue to exercise daily and follow guidelines to pull heavy things, we will definitely reduce the chances of Extreme Lower Back Pain by up to 90%.
